ERP Development Company in Egypt: Custom & Odoo-Based Systems
CodeStan is a software company in Sheikh Zayed, Giza, that builds custom and Odoo-based ERP systems for Egyptian businesses: accounting, inventory, purchasing, sales, HR and payroll, manufacturing and POS, in Arabic and English, connected to the Egyptian Tax Authority e-invoice and e-receipt systems. A focused system typically takes 6–10 weeks; a multi-branch ERP 4–7 months. Start with a free consultation or a WhatsApp message.

Most Egyptian companies that ask us for an ERP are running on a mix of Excel sheets, a desktop accounting program and WhatsApp groups. Stock numbers differ between the warehouse and the branch, the accountant re-types sales invoices into the tax portal, and month-end closing depends on one person. The owner cannot see today's cash, stock and receivables on one screen. That is the real problem an ERP should solve, not a list of modules.
We start from your workflow, not from a software package. We map how an order moves from quotation to delivery to collection, decide with you whether Odoo can cover it with configuration or whether a custom system is cheaper over time, and then build in phases. You approve a clickable prototype of the key screens on a private staging link before development starts, and you see working software in a demo every week until go-live.
What your ERP system includes
Finance and accounting
Chart of accounts, journal entries, receivables and payables, bank and cash, cost centres and the financial statements your accountant actually uses.
Inventory and warehouses
Multiple warehouses, transfers, batches and expiry where needed, stock counts, reorder levels and a live stock value per location.
Purchasing and suppliers
Purchase requests, approvals, purchase orders, goods receipt and supplier invoices matched against what was actually received.
Sales, CRM and POS
Quotations, sales orders, invoices, price lists, customer follow-up and a point-of-sale screen for branches and showrooms.
HR and payroll
Employee files, attendance, leave, allowances and deductions, and payroll runs prepared for your accountant to review before payment.
Manufacturing and projects
Bills of materials, production orders and material consumption for factories; project budgets, tasks and costs for contracting and service companies.
ETA e-invoice and e-receipt integration
Invoices and receipts are issued in the ERP and submitted to the Egyptian Tax Authority systems, with submission status and rejections visible to the accountant.
Permissions, reports and data migration
Role-based access per branch and department, approval chains, owner dashboards, and your opening balances and history imported from Excel or the old system.

Development
6–20 weeksAgile sprints with a demo every week on staging, code review and automated QA. Each phase is usable before the next one starts.
Migration, training and launch
2–3 weeksOpening balances and master data imported, users trained by role, a short parallel run, then go-live on your own server or cloud account.

How long does an ERP project take in Egypt?
| Project scope | Typical timeline |
|---|---|
| Focused system for one area (for example inventory + sales + POS), one or two branches | 6–10 weeks |
| Odoo-based ERP, configured and customised, 4–6 modules | 8–14 weeks |
| Custom multi-branch ERP: finance, inventory, purchasing, sales, HR and payroll | 4–7 months |
| ETA e-invoice and e-receipt integration added to an existing system | 3–6 weeks |
| Data migration from Excel or a legacy program (usually runs alongside development) | 2–4 weeks |
These ranges are typical and are confirmed after discovery; the price is quoted per project after a short call.
Technology behind our ERP systems
- Odoo
- Python
- Laravel
- PHP
- MySQL
- PostgreSQL
- Redis
- React
- Flutter
- Docker
- AWS
For companies whose processes are close to standard, Odoo with Python customisations gives a fast start. When your workflow is specific, we build on Laravel with MySQL or PostgreSQL, which keeps the system yours and easy for any PHP team to maintain. React powers fast screens, Flutter covers mobile apps for sales reps and warehouse staff, and Docker on AWS or your own server handles hosting.
Built for how Egyptian companies work
Egyptian companies registered for e-invoicing must issue invoices through the Egyptian Tax Authority system, and the e-receipt programme is extending this to retail sales. We build the ERP so that invoices and receipts are created once and submitted electronically, with tax codes on each item, signature handling agreed with your accountant and a clear view of accepted and rejected documents. VAT, withholding tax and the reports your auditor asks for are designed in from the start, not added later.
Many Egyptian businesses run several branches, a main warehouse and a factory or workshop, often with different managers. We set permissions so each branch sees its own stock and sales while management sees everything. The interface is Arabic first with full right-to-left layout, Egyptian pound as the base currency with foreign currencies for imports, and Arabic printed invoices. Personal data of employees and customers is handled in line with Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law, with access logs and limited exports.
Why companies choose CodeStan for ERP
Honest custom vs Odoo advice
We recommend Odoo when it fits and a custom build when it is cheaper over time, and we explain the trade-off in writing.
You see it before it is built
A clickable prototype on a private staging link is tested and approved by your team before development begins, then you get weekly demos.
Arabic-first, built for daily users
Screens are designed for the accountant, storekeeper and cashier who use them all day, in Arabic with full RTL, not translated afterwards.
You own the code and the data
The system is deployed on your server or cloud account, with source code and admin access handed over, and one team supports it after launch.
Frequently asked questions
How much does an ERP system cost in Egypt?
The cost depends on the number of modules, branches and users, how custom your workflow is, the ETA integration, and how much data needs migrating. Odoo-based projects usually start lower than fully custom ones. We do not publish fixed prices because two ERPs are rarely alike; we quote per project after a short discovery call, and we can split the build into phases so you pay for what you use first.
Should we choose Odoo or a custom ERP?
Choose Odoo when your processes are close to standard accounting, inventory and sales, and you want a faster start. Choose custom when your workflow is unusual, you need very simple screens for non-technical staff, or licence and customisation costs would grow over time. We review your workflow during discovery and give a written recommendation with the reasons.
Can the ERP send invoices to the Egyptian Tax Authority automatically?
Yes. We integrate the ERP with the Egyptian Tax Authority e-invoice system, and with the e-receipt system for retail sales where it applies to you. Invoices are issued once in the ERP and submitted electronically, and the accountant sees which documents were accepted or rejected and why. Registration and signing setup are done together with your accountant.
Can you move our data from Excel or our old accounting program?
Yes. We import items, customers, suppliers, employees, opening balances and, where useful, past transactions from Excel sheets or the export of your old program. We clean duplicates, agree a cut-off date with your accountant and run a short parallel period so you can compare the numbers before switching fully.
Will the system work in Arabic?
Yes. The ERP is Arabic first with a full right-to-left layout, Arabic printed invoices and reports, and an English interface for staff or partners who prefer it. Users switch language from their profile, and the same data appears in both.
Can it handle several branches and warehouses?
Yes. Each branch can have its own warehouses, cash boxes, price lists and users, while management sees consolidated stock, sales and profit. Permissions control what each person can see, approve or edit, and transfers between branches are tracked.
Who owns the code, and where is the ERP hosted?
You do. We deploy the ERP on your own server or your cloud account, such as AWS, and hand over the source code and admin access. If you prefer, we can manage hosting and backups for you under a support agreement, but the accounts stay in your name.
What happens after go-live?
We stay with you. Support runs under an agreed SLA covering fixes, monitoring and backups, and we review usage with you to plan the next modules. Many companies start with finance and inventory, then add HR, manufacturing or a mobile app once the first phase is stable.
