Job Summary:
A WordPress Junior Developer at CODESTAN is an entry-level position responsible for contributing to the development and maintenance of websites built on the WordPress platform. This role is a great fit for someone with a passion for web development and an eagerness to learn the intricacies of WordPress.
Essential Functions :
• Collaborate with designers and senior developers to understand website requirements and functionalities.
• Develop and customize WordPress themes using HTML, CSS, and potentially JavaScript (jQuery).
• Integrate and customize WordPress plugins to achieve desired website functionality.
• Create and maintain well-documented and clean code following WordPress best practices.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving basic website issues.
• Optimize website performance for speed and responsiveness across various devices.
• Conduct basic security checks and stay updated on WordPress security best practices.
• Contribute to content management by creating and editing website pages and posts (if applicable).
• May assist with website backups and maintenance tasks.
Qualifications:
- Proven understanding of web development fundamentals, including HTML, and CSS, ad basic understanding of JavaScript (or willingness to learn).
- Working knowledge of WordPress as a content management system (CMS) is a plus.
- Experience with building responsive websites for optimal viewing across devices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently while also collaborating effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for learning and staying up-to-date with WordPress trends and best practices.
Additional Information:
- Working Remotely
- Working full-time means at least 8 hours a day, from Sunday to Thursday.
- Entitled to 21 days of annual leave, which becomes effective from the third month.
